i have 3 oscars. 1 albino tiger oscar and 2 red tiger oscars. my albino is the female and is about 6-7in and the other 2 are males one 9 1/2in and 6-7inch. how old are oscars when they breed and will a 2male to 1female a good ratio or not???

im kinda just guessing. 1 the 2 little ones swim side by side most of the time and 2 the big oscar(male) is less agressive towards the albino(female) and more agressive to the small Red tiger(male)
I actually have the same thing going on in my tank. I have two albinos around 8 and 9 inchs and another green and orange about 9 or so and I just placed them all together today. Recently when I did that in a smaller tank i saw some aggressiveness with the smaller albino to the bigger. I looked up that the female will actually "attack" the male to test his strength and see if he is worth mating with. I just notice that the albinos get next to each other flare up and vibrate their fins. Best thing to do is just like others have said, to just see which pair up and which is the outcast. GOOD LUCK!!!
There is no reliable way to sex them prior to spawning. Some people cliam that you can tell by the venting, slope of the head, pointed / length of fins etc, but the only way I know of is to watch them spawn. Mine started when they were ~ 9-10", but I've read they can start as small as 6". (Never seen it happen mind you.....)
Oscars are funny creatures. Sometimes what looks like pair bonding is mild agression and vice versa. IMHO, if you start getting a lot of lip locking and wrestling, they may be pairing up. If they move forward and select a flat rock and start cleaning it......BINGO!!
Unless you have a huge setup, oscar #3 may need to be removed. If he stays and they spawn, he's likely going to take a beating as they defend their eggs and fry. How big is their tank?

if you had 2 males then chances are the larger one would not tolerate the smaller one unless you have them in a huge tank. regardless, if you see a pair then the 3rd wheel will most likely need to be removed.
And the same goes to a pair and a spare female. Breeding oscars do NOT hang up in trios. It's the breeding pair and the spanked ones. Any oscar that's not in the breeding pair gets
