umm well im sitting here at my computer and my big (9in) ruby alino oscar and my 7in red tiger oscar are showing some very strange behaveier. my ruby has cleared away the rocks from one corner of the tank. i have nerver seen this befor. what the heck is he doing? is he geting rdy to breed or somthing? are they earth diggers?? by the way it is a 20 gal tall tank, if that info helps at all. temp home (real temp! Im worried about them breakin the glass!!) and if am going to get rid of them, but if i have a pair, i will go out and buy a big tank for them tomarrow.

You have 16 inches of oscars in a 20 gallon tank????? How rude!! Yes it sounds like they might wanna breed, but not in a tank that small!!!!!

Oscars like to re-decorate their tanks. They definately need a bigger tank and that is a sign of breeding.

Yea, if they are a breeding pair you might wanna up to to a 90 gallon. For 1 oscar alone, its recommended to be atleast 55 gallons, for 2 oscars 75 gallons, but if you want tankmates or if you want to breed em, you might want to go to a 90.

I still want to know how hard are they to breed?easy, basic, novice, expert?Sounds like it would be cool to watch if you have that kinda room for a big tank.
