breeding oscars

i had a customer ask me today about breeding oscars. he has 3 in a 75 and he says that one is laying eggs. he does not know whick of the 3 are the mother. he sais that one gaurds the eggs and was told that the male breeder gaurds the eggs. how can he tall whichh is the mother?

i thought the eggs hatch is 1-2 days of being laid.

The female's vent and anus are different sizes. ---> oO
