Hi everyone. I have 2 Gold Spot Common Plecos that have been kicking the c**p out of each other lately. I have a feeling that it is just normal agression but I wanted to know if it is possible that they coulbe be trying to breed. I don't even have any idea of the sex of these fish.

I have no experience in breeding fish and if they were trying to breed, I would like to help them out as much as possible becasue I think it could be a cool little project to raise some fry. How can you tell if two fish are trying to spawn? Thanks.

its probably aggression as common pleco dont breed easily in home aquaria.

When it comes to breeding plecos, I have three tips......

1)short, long tanks

2)major current coming from one end of the tank....POWERHEAD...

3)Lots of driftwood......

Is there a way to tell that I have a breeding pair and not just 2 males sparring with each other?
