i have a breeding pair of pink convicts and i needed to know a few things about them
1.) what color are the fertilized eggs (there were clear ones then pure white ones)
2.) how long will they take to hatch

I didnt worry about the eggs i didnt even notice that i had white ones i just notice that they had tails hanging out of them. Now when my hatched there was only one deformed one and it died about 4 days later. The bad eggs i beleive my female or male at them got rid of them. Now my female didnt like something the male did because she was destroying him so i had to remove him. Must be something that has to do with pink convicts being more aggressive then normal cons. One tip is every day i take at least gallon out and replace it with clean water and every 3-4 days i do a good 2-3 gallon cleaning of the bottom it helps the qrowth greatly. this is in a 20 Gallon tank.

very cool...

the white eggs are the dead ones, don't do anything with them your cons will remove them. It takes 3-4 days for eggs to hatch and another 3-4 days before they fry become free swimming.

Fertilized eggs are tan! Bderik is right on for hatching to free swimming time.

It shouldn't take very long to hatch, from what I remember from my broods, it was in a matter of two days or so. And also, the white eggs are the unfertilized eggs but they will be take cared of by the parents if you have good convict parents (which in most cases they are). :D

I wouldn't worry about the unfertalized eggs. It'll probably be a good snack for Mommy and Daddy

The eggs should hatch in less than a week.
