breeding plecos

Hi
has anyone bred plecos especially the sailfin pleco.
i need some info on breeding them so i could try my hand at them.

if you are reffering to the "common sailfin" the are hard to sex so you best bet 4 breeding plecos is a bristlenose pleco

the only plecos i get here are the common sailfin.
so i would like to breed them.

well they are sexable around 8in and they nee mud banks to breed

To breed plecs like the sailfin & goldspot ,albino gibs,normal gibs ,chocs & many others you need to have them in very large out door ponds as they use the mud banks to breed in the summer months but i dont think the temp would be a problem over there. Hope this helps you .
