Breeding polypterus

Is it difficult breeding polypterus? I have 3 senegalus and they range from 4"-6" could they breed now or do they have to reach a certain maturity?

They need to reach sexual maturity, most Senegals reach sexual maturity around 7-8", some sooner. You can see that the male's anal fin will become much larger and "muscular".
Breeding them isn't a problem, with the right paraments and patience breeding can occur.

The problem is with raising the fry, which is extremely difficult because shortly after hatching you will begin to notice aggression and cannibalism between the fry, the biggest ones will eat the rest.
