here are 2 of the fry i kept...

Thanks and yea I can't wait for these little ones to grow up... I always seem to have trouble getting the fry to grow fast.. anybody have any advice? I know if you turn the temp up it will speed there metabolism and doing constant water changes helps but they still seem to grow slow

feed them hard boiled egg yolk. Do water changes every day and continue removing the dominant fry. Let the dominant fry dominate until you have some big ones and some small ones. Then select the big fry out and repeat until every fish has had a chance to be the dominant fish. These will always grow faster. in nature the big ones get bigger and pick on the little ones until the little ones get smaller. to get all the best bold fish you can select this way until you have one fish to a tank. if you have enough tanks you can end up with quite a large number of high quality fish from one spawning

thanks for the help, ill have to try the hard boiled egg yolk on my new fry.

Is it possible to have a batch of fry and 98% of them are males?? I had about 40 out of this batch, gave half to my buddy and i kept the other half. I grew all them out and maybe have 1 female and my buddy doesnt have one at all, that we know of so far... The only thing i could think of was that the females may have gotten killed when they were growing out.

This is how I do it, works for males

Sorry to hear about the male.
