Well this morning it's been the fourth day since my blue gene jack dempsey eggs were layed and they were shaking like crazy and you could see the little wigglers in there. But i had to go to school and when i came home there were no eggs and no fry. Can it be possible that the fry is still hiding because there probaply really small or did the parents just eat them. This is the first time they had eggs that were fertilized.

Actually the mom just moved the eggs to somewhere else, but now i can't tell if there eggs or fry because it looks like there fry but there only staying on the ground shaking like there still trying to hatch out of there eggs

It's normal for the female to move fry from one place to another.Their instinct tells them to do that for security reasons.It is also normal for the female to turn almost black.Dempseys are for the most part very good parents and will take care of their fry.That is until they decide to lay eggs again.Which could be from 4 to 8 weeks since the last time they laid eggs.Sometimes mated pairs will look at the fry they have created as a threat to their new eggs they just laid.
Well he moves the fry alot about 5 times a day. And i bought a brine shrimp hatchery kit, And i was wondering how old do the fry have to be for me to feed them the baby brine shrimp?
