breeding question

For those of you with many different species of m/f rays together in the same tank/pond. Do your rays tend to breed only with their own species or is there alot of hybrid breeding in the tank?

So far from what I have seen a male will stay to his own species if he can, if there are no females of his own kind he will look to other species sometimes.

The motoro group I have has 2 males and 3 females, also had a marble female with them. The males where both active breeders with the other motoros but never touched the marble, not a single bit mark on her when she was with them.

When I put her in with a marble male that male only showed interest in her, even though there where plenty of other females around of other species. Now that I have him separated from her he is showing interest in some of my leo females because he doesnt have another marble to breed with.

to be honest, IME, most of the males i've kept were maniac and would knock up any female that was in the tank regardless of species. This includes impregnating multiple rays at the same time regardless of species.
