breeding question?

so i breed male ZZ RD (very nice fins) with a blood parrot to get somthing kamfaish 6 days ago.
i left the parrot with the fry and put the male in my 125 gal
(2 male flower horn 2.5", huge common pleco, 2 jag x convict 2"
male JD 4", 1 female texas 3.5" 1 texas hybrid 2", and a relly nice
ZZ female flowerhorn 5" witch is the most dominate) the male is about 6-7"
that was 2.5 days ago and now the Female laid about 800 eggs on some rocks and the male fertilized them. btw this just happend.

so my question(s) is this normal? and how long do most breeders or you
wait b4 breeding the male again?

I've heard of females doing this (especiall blood parrots) and I have also head it takes a lot out of your males for breeding and it will weaken their immunes for a while. I haven't bred many fish but I would try the male anyways. All you can do is try it. If the male looks weak I wouldn't otherwise I say conduct your own experiment and let us know. I assume if you ask the same question the ca/sa section you will get more response and shouldn't be much different.

Wait so your male bred with the female zz and the female blood parrot? It's normal.

If it just happened that one thing.But I just all\most lost my best fish by over breeding him.I am for now on going to wait a month or so between breedings

that how long i wait but he is in a community and breed with another female just after he just got done fertilizeing.
