Is it normal for flowerhorns to tear each other up while breeding? Because my males kok is all tore up and my females face is torn up too. Should I put the divider back in?

no there not fighting they get along fine. But they have all these bite marks on their faces and the males kok is all torn up. I just put the divider back up. Should i just leave then alone together?

Flowerhorn have a super weak immune system when it comes to breeding. And many flowerhorn die from no apparent reason after breeding(mostly males). If they're tearing each other up, put the divider up. Unless you want a dead fish after breeding. I've had my fair share of it...multiple times.

Until her tube fully drops. Then take the divider out and monitor them cautiously. Don't want to bug them too much. Fish will vary from one to another. Bugging them too much can result in egg eating.

Oh ok Thanks. Also will the cuts leave scars? Or will they heal back to normal?
