Is 2m to 2f a workable ratio for breeding?

mature males will not nessacerly fight especialy if grown on together I had no problem keeping 3 males together you might find one becomes the dominant one I put a 18 month grow on bd with two 3 year old bds and he became the dominant one you would have thought one of the older males would have

If you are serious about breeding then 2 males is a must. If you dont rely care wht happens then 1 male is fine but he may pair with a single female and not touch the others.

Keeping males together is hit or miss. Alot of times i cant keep any males together without fighting.

As of now I have a 7 inch male motoro with an 8 inch female motoro in one set up

And in my pond I have my 6.5 inch bd hybrid male with a 6 inch orb female

I was thinking of either

Putting them all together and adding 1 more female

Or keeping them separate and adding 1 female to each pair

at that size you wont have any problems only when they start maturing I would put them al together now how bid is your pond

300 gallon 5x5x2 roughly

I have an intex pool that's 8x4x2 which will house them when they get huge
