I'm just in the process of process of setting up a pond to breed rays in.
I'm used to breeding rays in tanks, as you can track the progress... i.e. from male introduction, to first movement, to monitoring weight gain.
my question, for those of you who breed in ponds with no windows for side view, how do you acheive the above? how do you know if she's pregnant? im guessing you cant see movement or monitor weight gain from above?
just considering which to use as growout/breeding... im sure the girls would appreciate the larger footprint though.
Any insights/opinions will be appreciated.
