Question , I have a male hystinx thts mature already , dont think female marble ray is How can u tell when female is ready

Females do not show an external sign of sexual maturity, at least to my knowledge, since they haven't bred already though I would recommend moving the female to another tank until she is ready. I have heard that females which are barely sexually mature have a lot of stress put on them from having babies, as they are not large enough.
