Any info on the breeding of RBP's I have around 8 adults and would like to try and breed them they are currently in a 75 gallon tank with a new 120 gallon tank to follow soon.

I have heard about doing the frequent water change and rain bar system. Any new inmfo would really be great.

Thanks

watch for two of them to swim in circles the males will become dark and the females will be very lite color. temp is very important mid 70s. i had a 125 with 12 redbellies and 4 breeding pairs. good luck

U need to talk to that dontgointhewater guy he knows quite a bit about breeding ps. I have heard of people hanging pvc pipe over their tank with holes cut in the pipe and run water through the pipe. This simulates the rainy season in the amazon and often induces breeding. That is all I can think of now. Maybe put some pictures of hot female and male ps on the sides of the tank to get them all flustered up. Ha ha
Good luck

water changs and keeping the temp around 75. ph should be around 6.8 to 7.5. colorer changing is your best way to find your pairs. watch for nesting. eggs are hard to find. but the real fun starts when thay hatch. good luck.
