What size do red head tapajos breed at? I 2 that are 3.5" and 1 that is 3". I noticed today that one of them with more red on it's head being a little mean to the 3" but will swim right next to the other 3.5" one with out any problem but the largest one with no red on it's head is being a little territorial over a spot behind my driftwood but the one 3.5" one can go in there sometimes. Could they be getting ready to breed? The smaller one has now dark vertical stripes on it's sides, what could this be from?

hi, mine are 4 to 5 in and they have laid and picked up eggs several time. they need to be left in a peaceful tank or they will not hold the eggs/fry. water changes seem to trigger mating dances!!! and make sure ur temp is in the high 70's to 80s

Ok. The three are the biggest. The other 2 rht and altifron are 2" and the chocolate is 2.5". The temp is 82 and the ph is 8.4 and I do water changes once a week for them. I hope they do cause they are an amazing fish.
