Cannot find any research on this topic and was wondering if it is even possible to breed these. Here is a pic of what this fish looks like.

Family: Acestrorhynchidae
Range: South America
Size: Up to 15 inches
Diet: Carnivore
Tank Set-up: Freshwater: Rocks, plants, driftwood
Tank Conditions: 76-82°F; pH 6.8-7.4; dH 8-15
Minimum Tank Capacity: 70 gallon
Light: Medium
Temperament: Aggressive
Swimming Level: Middle
Care Level: Difficult
Reproduction: Egg Layer

The breeding habits of this species are unknown, and the Red Tail Barracuda has yet to be spawned in the home aquarium. But my quess would make it look like their habitat in South America plants and drift wood and il would put a current in there as well in the middle or couple inces from top.
