breeding rope fish

My lfs guy, who is wrong as often as he is right, was telling me that the rope fish he sources are bred in the US . My understanding is that all rope fish sold in the US were wild caught. Am I out of date?

Not sure but have seen same vendors sell ropes titled as ropefish and others as wc ropefish.

Not sure if this has now become breedable.

Maybe someone can chime in and give some info.

Haven't heard of CB ropes. It's a matter of how people label things. Some vendors may assume (or not care) that you know ropes are WC. Others may think putting WC in front of the name is good for business. Either way I haven't heard of ropes being CB.

Especially in the U.S. You usually don't get a lot of CB bichirs/ropes from US breeders (not to mention I can't really think of a US breeder).
