breeding SDs

How hard is it, how many of you have done it. I want to get a shoal of 4-6 and hope some will breed.

They are difficult only because people don't keep them long enough - they spawn like any other characin though - plenty of plants, good varied diet, condition with meaty foods, and that's about it.

ok, I thought it would be easey. Would it work with a shoal or should I seperate after they pair off?

I would have a shoal as they cannot be sexed, and they'll take care of it themselves

try silver dollars as a challenge. convicts are too easy. but, you will get some good feeders out of it.
