I've seen some scrimps for sale through some of the members here. I was hoping to try it on my own. Anyone have some good info on them and recommendations on which breeds to start with.

Hmm....I'd start with something easy like algae shrimp or ghost shrimp. You probably could breed cherries with a fair amount of ease.
I think that Amano algae eating shrimp are impossible to breed in a home setup. I've heard they need salt and Im not a big fan of salt stuff.
Yeah i did hear some stuff about amano shrimps being a pain in the butt to breed. Scratch amano shrimps.
I guess that doens't count htough because they are not really shrimps
