breeding size flowerhorn

Hi,
I got a pair of flowerhorn size 3 inch and 2.5 inches. Currently they are in a community tank doing OK till now.
but surely i will remove them
Problem is sometimes they tail wag each other and dance.
what is this are they breeding .
What will happen if they breed at such a small size.
will there growth be stunted
please reply.

They could possibly be pairing up but they may not breed necessarily. If they do reproduce it will not stunt the growth but it may slow it down but they will eventually reach their potential full size

Yes! they are pairing up.They will spawn even in these sizes.Best of luck for your future spawning.
