Breeding size

Just want to see when everyone thinks Peacocks will start to breed. As far as size and age.

hmm... males I would say 2-3 inches and females 2.5 inches...

I have a 2" Eureka Red male that has bred with 2 females 1.5". They are currently holding in the growout tank.

Some peacocks can breed at a very young age and some others take a while. My brother's redshoulders bred at 2.5 inches which is the smallest I have seen so far.

I had mine breed at 2" female and 2.5"inch male

my strawberrys bred at 2 inches for both male and female. I had other species though that held on till 3 to 4 inch range. think it depends on the species.

i had a 1.5 inch female hold not to long ago.. i dont know who the male was

I agree, generaly somewhere in the 1.5" -2.5" range. My labs started breeding at 1.5", didn't produce fry until about 2"

yeah when they are small they tend to hold them for a few days and then they vanish
