So I plan on getting 3 kinds of skinks in the next year, a sandfish skink, Peters banded skink and a blue tongued skink. Which one of these are the easiest to breed? And can someone help me like figure out everything because there’s not a lot of stuff on any other website other than things about the blue tongued skink.

Why would you want to breed skinks? If so, would you sell them? It depends on the tanks you have, how much work you put in, and how much money you put in. I can't help you personally with skink breeding, but look in other mfk articles. You may find something useful. Good luck Kolton!

Blue tongues are by far the easiest on that list. For the blue tongue is the only one being readily captive bred and it has a lot of info on breeding it the other 2 are usually wild caught and from what I know they still haven’t been bred in captivity. The some problems in breeding blueys is that they are extremely antisocial, they are a buck load of money especially the adults and the northern bluey which is from Australia. Also from what I have researched before hand(I was interested in breeding blueys a few years back I have a books about it.) the northern is by far the easiest too breed out of all the species of blueys But downside they are the one with more aggressive tendencies too their peers also they are the biggest species.

I saw a video on YouTube about the Peters skink breeding. They apparently laid eggs, but people say the lay live birth it was weird. From what I know about breeding blue tongued is that the male is very aggressive when the mating starts, then he gets his tail under hers etc. I’m curious though how much would babies sell and should I sell them. And how easy is it to raise the babies

Thats weird about the peters banded I’m usually on top of new reptiles being bred in captivity, oh well can you send me the link too the video please. As of blue tongues the babies are around $400 dollars average if you are going for a northern which I think you are also its not just the male who is aggressive its also the female and its not just in breeding season its the whole year even baby blue tongues can’t be together and also they are not egg layers they are ovoviviparous.

Wow how very interesting I didn’t know they can breed in captivity but I wouldn’t trust it that much It’s most probably hard too get a pair that is captive bred or wild caught. Also on the topic of blue tongues what species are they the ones near you if you can send pictures that would be incredibly helpful.

I don’t have any pictures, there in stores so I don’t take pics of them.
