im new to breeding stingrays but im building a 1077 gallon acrylic tank and wanted to know how to induce breeding and how old do BD pups have to be before moving them to another tank and selling them

I'll lend a start for more experienced breeders to edit and build on:

To induce breeding, there isn't much you can do, except keeping water quality good and distractions such as people walking around in the room, making the rays think there is food on the way, to a minimum.

As for the pups, the general consensus is that you sell them whenever you want as long as a couple key factors are met:

1.)The rays are acclimated and stable. They recommend to wait about 4-6 weeks until selling. You can't ship a 3 day old ray as soon as you see it feed once!

2.)The rays are feeding well on food that will be readily available to their new owners such as chopped night crawlers or chopped prawns.

3.) (This is optional.) You wait to see how the patterns develop to see of you have any pattern morphs you think or are told that you can sell for more or should sell for less. Pattern normally reaches this stage around 3-5 months.

Hope I could help!

I'd start with rays that breed all the time (like motoros), then work your way to the expensive/hard to bred rays (like leopoldi).
