Hello,
in my opinion my Azuls are mature since a while.
While I had them in the Stingray pond my big male got a hump and my small female does have exactly same bodyshape like a WC Monoculus female I had. (I sold her to a guy having a Male and they did breed in the first week)
Now I want to give them the possibility to breed, but don´t know what exactly to add.
more wood, big rocks (I´m bit afraid because of the glas) ,fake rocks, wide rocks "schiefer"(don´t know english word)?
The Temensis pairs with juveniles I saw in Venezuela were in freakin much flow areas on stones.
I´m also interested in the water parameters u guys bred cichla,
cause I couldn´t found any in some threads.
I saw WC Monoculus and F1 Monoculus breeding in normal Water (Ph 7-7,5 Gh 14-16 Ch 9-12).
And I know that I have to replace nearly all community fish that they are relaxed enough to breed.
I´d be very thankfull for helpfull answers
