Breeding tube?

I got this red devil from Rapps a couple weeks ago. He said it was a vented male. Is this a breeding tube?

Possibly a prolapse?

sure does but from position looks like a males breading tube.

Oh good. I didn't know males had them as well. That's a relief, I'll try and get a better pic of it.

females will be larger and drag to the back, males are smaller and point some what forward.

He's been digging a lot if that helps. He's got two big holes on either side of the tank. With smaller holes everywhere in between.

And when I say everywhere I mean every square inch. He's a excavator.

my curiosity is why it would be down to begin with.
