breeding warmouth sunfish in aquariums

how can you tell a male from a female?
How can you trigger their breeding response?
What size tank is the minimum for breeding a single pair?
How do you raise the young?

I'm going to start breeding natives to sell sometime soon and I was going to start with warmouth, but I do not know how to tell what their gender
is, etc.

a female should be larger and thicker than the male, a cooling down period should induce spawning if all other parameters are close to correct. I have had them breed in outdoor lawn ponds, not sure about in an aquarium...

mine did the whole mating thing during their cold period. the water here runs around 62 degrees, but I'm not sure exactly, it can go as low as 52 after the water change.

I live in san clemente, orange county. I need to figure out if I will be able to breed the warmouth and where I can put a 75 gallon aquarium to breed them in. I will try to let you know if I'm still going to be able to sell them. Thank you for letting me know.
