Ok i have a really mean dovi/cuban or something mixed but he is mean as hell. He has killed anything i put in there with him. I have a female dovi, and a female texas manguenese on one side of a divider and him on the other side. How do i know when to take the divider out?

how big are the fish? weird question i know but some i know breeds flowerhorns i think and what they do is that their female is smaller than the male so they made a hole in the divider just big enough for the female to get through so she can go int with the male when she fels like breeding and go back out when shes done or for escape, since the male doesnt fit he cant chase after her. just a htough im thrwing i out there.

When to take him out of the divider is a good question. I say when he shows no signs of flaring on them.

I would take the divider out once they seem to be tolerant of each other and are not fighting as much through the glass they may even begin to dig either side of the divider next to each other this is a sure sign that they are ready however keep a close eye on them. If you can woofys idea would be good.
