We have two hatchling cornsnakes who thinks it would be better to breed our own feeders or to order them online? My cuz thinks it will be more cost effective if we bred our own.

Depends on what you want to breed.....

What you are expecting the yield from that breed and each breed to be..

Tanks available to raise the feeders...

And what size you will feed them at ...

There are likely more questions but this is a good start..

I would look into local breeders of cichlids and other fish that get rid of their culls.. maybe you'll find one that just likes their fish but hates the babies and is willing to just give you the batches :)

cornsnakes it would just be better to buy them, i mean my cousins ate everytwo to three weeks, and mice grow quick (trust me) so they would be get too big for your snakes before they ate them all.

Looking to breed some mice for cornsnakes we were goin raise the mouse to the right feeding level then freeze them so they stay at the right age.

It's not really economical unless you are paying more than the would-be-bill on feeders...

Just my take.

Definately buy FROZEN. Cheaper, easier, SAFER and your garage wont smell like urine.

Raising enough mice is a messy, smelly, and time consuming job.
