Breeding

The most profitable would be some of the rarer, basically unavailable species, Crenicichla sp. Bolivia 'Citrus', Crenicichla sp. Inirida III(I believe this is the dwarf one), and basically ANY of the Teleocichla sp. Of the actually available pikes, Crenicichla notophthalmus, Crenicichla sp. Orinoco 'Dwarf' and Crenicichla regani are probably the most profitable. True notophthalmus can he hard to find though. One thing to remember, even the dwarfs aren't real dwarfs, many still reach 7 inches.

none but it also depends on who's buying. if you just want to sell to be selling then Compressiceps should do.
I hear you. None are truely profitable fish, except for perhaps the unavailable species. Personally, I wouldn't breed compressiceps. They are too aggressive at a young age and are already well established and bred in the hobby(you want to be able to get rid of them right). Of what I can find available at the moment, I would do Crenicichla sp. Orinoco 'Dwarf'. They are peaceful, colorful, and basically unseen at most local markets.
