i dont have a clue myself mate but an english publication called practicalfishkeeping might have a feature on it try their website... their a magazine in the uk

First quarantine the pair in a tank all by themselves. Second feed them a lot of meaty foods. (blood worms, brine shrimp, etc) Third give them a lot of breeding spots. Fourth every time you do a water change put in slightly cooler water and let it warm up with a heater. Idk why but that has been very effective in getting my dempseys to breed. Best of luck

I read somewhere that cooler water works because it makes them feel like it rained, and therefore they have fresh, oxygenated water to breed in. I've found that a "moonlight" (usually a single LED kept on all night) helps as well.

i agree! This works for MANY fish! Could also cover part of tank for privacy, live plants, lots of spawning sites, maybe a couple goldfish to beatup on n protect their site from. Raising your tank temp a lil. Lots of tricks n triggers you just need patients n keep at it till you find what works for your fish.keep notes on everything! If nothing in a week or so split em up for a few hours n try again. Change decor around ect. Daily water changes is the key for most I think! GL
