Right I recently introduced a female into my tank, from the off my large horn an her started clearing gravel in to seperate places and the small female went crazy and started harrasing fish much larger than herself, (in the process of removing tank mates). There separated at the moment with a divider, but today I come home to find the little female flaring and tryin to lip lock with the larger one. My question is is this good breeding behaviour or isit bad I'm now wondering if I may not have a male flower horn and the larger one is another female as after 10 days of displaying I've yet to see eggs. This is the Larger one.

My females usually have there tube out for a little while before they actually lay. Seems they always lay overnight so you may have some when you wake up tomorrow. Just watch out for over aggression. I get lip locking from failed attempts after eggs don't hatch or male isn't doing his job. Before laying can mean one of them is rejecting the other.

Pretty sure it isamale it has a pointy vent compared to the more rounded of the female. This morning aggression has dropped and both fish seem to be ignoring one another. I'm going to out the other fish this weekend do a largeish water change then see what happens. Fingers crossed
