What group is he in. Is it Paratheraps, Vieja, or some other group.

paratheraps and viejas often get mixed up when being id'ed

So that may explain why it gets grouped as a Vieja.

I thought paratheraps didn't exist anymore. Didn't most of the fish from that genus get reclassified as paraneetroplus? Then I think two species were bumped over to exCichlasoma.
Anyways, whatever the current nomenclature is it seems likely to change again. In this chaos I'll be a lumper by default and I'll use the term 'Vieja' bacause it is the broadest, most recognized name for these fish.
As for breidohri, aren't they paraneetroplus too?

Flowerpower see that is what I thought that they were Paraneetroplus. So has Paratheraps class been discontinued. I definitely did not think they belonged in the vieja group. That also seem to be the way the responses reflect.
