Recieved my first Brichardi today!! :) They came with a free 10 g. set up complete and with Fry!! Very happy.. The closest thing i have had to these would be Convicts.. This is going to be interesting.. I set them up in the Kids room.. Free everything....

They are happy but they fight over eahcothers chairs to view this new famil we've added LOL

They look like Vampires!!! I love it!
 
I picked up 16 for $.50 a piece a month back-most are 1 inchers, a few are around 2 inches, all just hanging out in their own 29 gal...just waiting for the natural way of things, then the fry become cichlid food!
 
Beautiful fish as adults IMO. They are as prolific as convicts in the breeding arena and both M & F guard the eggs & fry with a vengeance. I once bought 6 young adults and wound up with two pairs. Before I knew it, I had way too many fry to deal with at over 100 young per spawn. Keep your tank covered well as they will leap hard if spooked. If you wind up with 2 males, there is no way they will get along in a 10g. I could perceive having maybe 1 male and 2-3 females in there but they will definately breed. Prepare yourself to do some shuffling around as they get older!

Thats sweet! I was looking into getting some of these, vampires ! lol , Anytime you can get a free set-up I say go for it! The fish are a great bonus, how about posting some "free" pics! :thumbsup:
