Extremely easy.
Far from it actually. They grow 4-6" depending on the sex and tail length.
For a cichlid, pretty average-ish to slow.
I THINK every 1-2 months.

1) Easy to breed.
2) No they are not. You might be thinking of Tanganyikan shelldwellers.
3) Not sure of the question.
4) Once you have a pair they will breed readily. Also the parents let younger siblings stay in the breeding area to protect the fry. There can be multiple generations and sizes all living amicably. Actually pretty cool.
5) around 4 inches or so

HTH
;)

I have a pair now. The male is about 4" maybe a bit more. The first batch.....well lets not get into that.:( They look like they are about to have another set.:) Id say they go about 1 month in between the egg laying. If you remove the fry they will lay quicker however, a bit of a pain to take care of the young. If you leave the fry in the parents will take care of the fry.

The only real problem with Neo. Brichardi in a small tank is overcrowding months down the track if you dont remove any fish. There will be aggression, but previous generations will care for the younger ones. Like a big human family really.

Saw a breeding pair for sale last year - great looking fish - and there were at least 2 sets of fry in there, all getting along. It as really cool to see and everything was peaceful. And this was in a shop tank!
If I'd had the space at the time, I'd have bought them.
Good luck with it.
