just curious how manny of you have bricher with loaches and rays ? does it work ? thinking about picking one up i mean as long as its not considered food for rays the clowns are all 6 + inches what are your thoughts ?

B I C H I R S prefer hard alkaline water while rays prefer soft water. So, I never mix them. Loaches are OK if you can ensure enough food gets to the rays. CLs are quick feeders and will rob slower feeders if they get the chance.
Everything I have found states Bichirs are fine between 6.0-8.0 PH with variances by species. It depends on which bichir you would like to keep.
For me, senegals, and all the literature ive read suggests they prefer soft acidic water.

yea picked up 2 little sengals, well i think there small with some small black specs. There in a grow out tank atm but will eventaully be housed with my rays, clown loaches, datnoids, fire and tire track eel in a 240 deep 
. If its the ph in question the rays ahve been fine thus far on normal tap water being about 7 - 8 ish were i am. The rays have lived in this for almost a year now just these are really my first atempt at brichers
