I was wondering if red bricks would be okay for making cave in my SA cichlid fish tank? I plan on gluing them together with silicon to make them oscar proof. what do you guys think?

Test it out with two bricks siliconed together and left submerged for a week, if nothing bad structually happens, then test the water out.
