bright light vs. dim light

I guess I am in the middle, I dont like bright tanks but I dont like dark tanks either.

i always like my tank fairly bright, i only have one tank so to me its a show tank

Subdued lighting on all my river setups. Loaches and plecos prefer subdued lighting.

I like having both!!!!
Flouresent lights for the bulk of the lighting (bright even light)
and small spot lights in the evening to produce shadows
in the tank............the flor...would be off when the spot
lights turn on.....
the shadow effect makes for a great tank in the evening!!!!!!!

depends on the tank...

the planted tank is pretty high light but not real high... the qtank is highlight... the gsp tank is medium light.. the 75 is pretty low light but it sits next to a window.. the 60gallon snail/shrimp tank is no light but its outside and covered with duckweed...
