how often should i give brine shrimp an blood worms to my red topp zebre an blue cobalt

I feed my mbunas brine shrimp once every week or two. I have heard that feeding blood worms will create intestinal problems becuase they are high in protein and harder to digest which mbuna are not used to. They will also increase the chance of bloat. For a basis, many people feed their mbunas New Life Spectrum because it has a great balance of nutrition

i feed mine brine and blood worms twice a week. so far i have had no problems and its been 2-3 months. the extra protien seems to make them breeding machines.. (not sure if thats a good or bad thing)

never had issues with blood worms and my africans

other than that they go absolutely ape**** for them

Use them as a treat for your mbunas. Once or twice a week is fine.

I guess Ive been giving mine to much? Over the past 4 months I give them brine & blood worms every day with a mixture of flakes (veggy) they have grown very fast and breed all the time, I have 4 different fry hatches in the tank right now.
