Bringing out red arrowana colour

I'm buying a violet based super red arrowana and want to know what would help bring out colour. Any specific lighting , background colour diet etc

Nice pick up, How big is it going to be? small red arowana takes time for colors to come. But would recommend shrimp, krill, or pellets for color improvement.

start with a dark background... Black color on base and sides..As for lighting normal t5 10000k lights will do ...Start tanning once he hits about 12inches ..Best way to tan is natural sunlight otherwise go for a arcadia arowana tanning light..Even t5s are fine... Good luck

as what dudefish82 suggested, go for BTT and tanning light. looking forward for your red arrival
