Hey anyone in Brisbane know
where to find sand for your tank
....not marine tank... just tropical tank

the only place that i know of to get sand
for tropical tanks is rocklea
any other places ...

white-light brown.

there is also landscaping sand which I think is a tad cleaner.

Some reptile sand is ok for tanks, we used to use the fine white reppy sand for one of our display tanks with flounders in it so they could hide.

the play sand from bunnings looks alright onli like $$8-9 bux for 20kg

better then the high priced 10kg for like 30-50$$

Yeh i got my sand from bunnings on the gold coast, it was playsand and it is really dirty. but im pretty happy with it

I just use the pre-washed sand from Bunnings.You will still need to rinse it about 10x to make sure it doesn't cloud the tank water but it is quite safe and looks sweet.It looks darker in the bags but trust me, it is quite white in tank.

is it any good for tanks ?
