Well I have both fish and they don't seem to get alone. I house them in separate tanks but I really would love to have them co inhabit my 125. They just don't get alone no matter how much decor the BN goes straight to the vampire and they fight. Now my question is how normal is this? Is it territories and dominance or just simply a no go?
The BN is 5" and the vampire is significantly larger but the BN seems to instigate all fights and lose.

How's your tank set up?
You might want to create more territories and hiding spots if you don't have a lot. Try to break up line of sight.

A 125 should be plenty big enough to have them coexist.

My vampire just hides in the day and only comes out at night long after lights out. He is 2+" bigger than the bristlenose.
My bristlenose is active no matter the time of day or night, light or dark. He's a non stop disco!
I have not witnessed aggression, but, I have a bit of wood, and the bristlenose seems to prefer it. The vampire seems to prefer the caves I have made.
Hope this provides sonething.

I have had Vampires and some, not all, can be a little aggressive at times.

Funny how mine are totally the opposite of what you’re saying. My vampire runs half the tank and the green phantom runs the other half while my 2 albino bristlenose hangs out on the driftwood. The bristlenose would quickly move out of the way if either the vampire or phantom swims by. I lost 3 bristlenose and a baby Adonis to one of these two culprits already.
