Bristle nose pleco question.

I have a spare 55g and was wandering if I could put 4 breeding caves two on endend and get
1- brown male
1-albino long fin male
1-brown long fin male
1-blue eye long fin or Red male

2-brown females
2-red females
2-albino long fin females
2-blue eye long fin females

Would this work.

Id stick with one kind or they going to inter breed... And I think wi be too much for 55

You can breed bn in a 20g. Why waste a 55g?

I'm sure you could get something to to breed, but there may be territory issues and there would be no garauntee what you would get out of it. Are you wanting specific crosses?

They'll be fine in a 55 they don't get big and you only want to ad 12

You need more caves

You'll be getting lots of mixed coloured babies if they breed so as suggested stick with one type.

I have both albino and normal color. Both males and females and they never cross breed. The albino males will only breed with the albino females and the same with the normal colored ones

May have aggression issues with the males
2 males and a few female may work if you break the line of sight between caves

However never seen a tank with this many females so with more females than they can handle and a lot of cover it might just work
If they get breeding they don't leave the cave anyway so as soon as they spawn the males will stay in the caves and not fight, but with a constant supply of females you will need to rest the males every few spawns and fatten them back up
Leave the females in the tank and rotate the males 2 in at a time

I've got a 150 with 2 brown long fins ( male and female) albino short male and brown short female, and they all spawn together.
There's also a gold nugget and some other small kind of pleco in there and they don't bother anyone
Fry turn out great . Got over 200 or more

So wt species do you guys think is the coolest? Was thinking of getting 5-male starlight with white stream. (And if they have a long fin types as well il get those too)

8- female starlight with white stream (again if they have a long fin il get a couple of those)

2-female super red or albino long fins.
