I found an albino long fin bristlenose for $20 at a LFS. It is about 3in long. But, it barely has any bristles on its nose. Is this a sign of poor health. They do have one other for sale in the same tank with a bunch of bristles. I look the look of the one with fewer bristles but was wondering if it could still be healthy.

Is it eating well at all? That fish is female if it has very little or no bristles at all. The other fish you found is a male.
