As far as I know, there are many species of Bristlenose Catfish.

I caught several wild specimens from a local stream, and they are considerably larger than what I have seen in stores.

I have a pair of breeding albino longfins, and I was wondering if I could pair the female with one of the wild-caught males in the hopes of creating a larger albino strain within several generations.

Is this possible?

Here are a few shots of the largest.
It's in a critter-keeper for size comparison.

Holy cow that thing is a sore sight for the eyes Dx

Moving on, I think they can, but I think you would get better answers if this thread was in the Pleco section.
