I know more pics would help and I will try to get more. I'm lucky to get this pic (I suck with fish pics).....

It's approx. 1.5" and has yellow spots with white tips on tail and dorsal fins.

I really excited about it. I think I want more plecos now. I got him and 2 others for $4 ea.

Not sure what exactly you are wanting. Yes that is a bristlenose, or Ancistrus. As to what species, I need a clearer photo.

i notice the white tips on the tail, looks really familiar, i remember seeing one of these in a pet store recently but i dont remember the name of it... ill see if i can find out, maybe ill take another trip to the store and try to find it. but im not sure when ill be able to do that.

The white tips are common in many ancistrus species when they are younger.

Yes, a better pic would help. But I'm guessing it's a common bristlenose:
Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus

Thanks for the useful reply. I'm new to plecos so any guess is more than I know. And the link was very usefull. Common or not I think they are beautiful. I was not aware that common bristlenose were spotted.

I got 2 more today. One was called an albinus but I think it is actually a rubbernose or bulldog pleco. The other is another bristlenose with heavy looking armor and is tan/brown(if my babies are commons will that be what they look like?).

nice, i got a common pleco and 4 small albino longfin bristle nose plecos, love em, i got the albinos from a friend because he had a breeding pair, so i got them when they were really small and now they look great, really nice colors and long fins, and the bristles are starting to come in now =)
