you cant force fish to grow big faster!May feed Hikari Sinking Wafers for a choice

Algae wafers, zucchini, be sure to have driftwood in the tank too! Once in a while some shrimp pellets or bloodworms.

Managed to get my BN upto 7'' with regular tank maintenance, live food every other week (the protein really helps maintain good coloration, and I'd wager it helps growth to an extent), with cucumber/peas as its main food source excluding driftwood scattered around tank. Wafers are 'ok' but I wouldn't feed them with those every meal - I mean, would YOU want to eat what looks like cardboard disintegrating in water?

Just so you know, cucumber has basicly no nutritional value to fish. However those 'ok' wafers are designed by really smart people to meet the nutritional requirements of said fish. So yes I would prefer the wafers. And what "live food" did you get your BN to eat? And is that 7" SL or TL?

I feed mine NLS exclusively and weekly 50% water changes on my 85. It went from under an inch to 5 inches in one year and has slowed to almost nothing. Incidently it is a female. Only pleco in my 85 and she keeps it algae free. Not a big fan of plecos anymore due to their high waste and hiding features. But this albino bn is one of my favorite fish.
