Would a Bristlenose Pleco stand a chance in a 40B with a pair of Convicts?

Shouldn’t be a problem - they are built like tanks and stay out of the way.

Not answering the question here lol, but I have to say that this tank looks amazing!
The bristlenose pleco may eat a few eggs at night though. I would wait until a little algae appears prior to buying the bristlenose.
That’s ok with me. It definitely has algae now. I cleaned a bunch up with todays water change, but the rocks were getting a nice accumulation on a lot of them.
I think it will be fine, the only thing i would do is make a small cave that only the bristlenose can fit into so they can get a break from the grumpy convicts if necessary.
I kept breeding BN with breeding convicts and other assorted cichlids years ago w zero issues. They both kept right on breeding very successfully.
Used to find baby bristles in the sump on the regular. Lol. I wouldn't hesitate to put them together. Like stated above, BN are hearty and mind their business from my experience w them.
