i know that. its funny.

but what if it really happened and they got pinned in the mud like that and shot up... not good. thats why AMTRAC's rule! :headbang2 haha. minus the 130degree temperature, seasickness and 20 other guys puking on you. :irked:

I've seen that before. Funny stuff. Gotta admit, the British armed forces have a sense of humor.

There's also a Brokeback Mountain moment as well

Your kidding me.. the AAVP7A1 is a big high profile (10 some foot high) target with limited ability to defend it self without dismounted infantry... Good for things like landing in front of a bunch of News reporters, not so good in a High ATGM or beach assault situation.

The Troyka (BMP-3) is a much more capable amphibious assault landing vehicle. What it lacks in carry load. (3 crew+7 man IFV squad) it makes up for in being deadly to any and all opposing targets... This is standard issue now to the Морская пехота (Naval infantry)..

Why it is the USMC has not developed an effective combat landing system is really quite confounding... (and not equipping the Airborne with a capable IFV is equally weird)
